1. Training Needs Assessment & Training Manual Preparation - the MLG
ID has long experience with governmental organizations in many fields mainly the Human Resources Improvement. Our efforts with the Ministry of Local Government (MLG) focused on identifying the capacity building requirements in terms of training needs to design suitable training curricula for the employees working in the whole local government system in Palestine. The outcomes were used by MLG ministry to establish a human resource training center in Jericho to be responsible for HR development in the Local Government Sector in Palestine. These outcomes included carefully designed 52 training courses grouped into 7 areas of knowledge relevant to the governmental sector.
The efforts of ID Management Consultants were extended in a second phase process to include development of 15 training courses as a first step. The training manuals designed for MLG covered 7 major areas of knowledge: Institutional Development, Human Resources Development, Public Relations and Communications, Service and Project Management, Accounting and Financial Management, Use of Information Technologies, and Law of Local Government. Currently, the training center in Jericho is using these training materials to train and upgrade MLG and Municipal employees according to prepared training course schedule. Employees have been trained in all 15 areas and course materials are now being used on regular basis.
2. Employee Recruiting and Selection:
An important part of the HR services provided by ID Management Consultants is to help clients in recruiting and selecting new employees. This has been an on-going activity since started in 1996 and ID assisted 10's of client organizations. Recruiting and selection included such activities as advertising, collection of CVs, initial screening, interviews, selection, and more. We also provide some orientation on basic communications skills as new employees come into new organizations. The value of these services has been to provide clients with best candidates in the local market, save clients much of valuable time, and assure that substitute are always available when needed.
